Ruonan’s woodcut prints “Peeled Orange” and “Cashew” are showing in the group show “Giant Steps” at LIC Arts Open Gallery. The exhibition features a collection of large scale multi-disciplinary works including painting, drawing, print, sculpture and video from the collections of Joel Voisard alongside Bennett Blackburn’s The Beasties. Thanks to curator Richard Mazda for this opportunity.

Joel Voisard is a 3D artist whose work spans the fields of sculpture and interior/industrial designs. Celebrity clients and fans include Usher, Maura Tierney and Shalom Harlow.

Bennett Blackburn will premiere his latest series, The Beasties ; elegant and unusual sculptures in wood.

Also displaying the work of Efrat Baler-Moses, Kevin Barker – Herod, James Gardella, JP-Anne Giera, Caleb Gilbert, Katie Hector, Nina Hellman, Courtney Kates, Nicki Koning, Marlene Kryza, Kristen E Leonard, Nancy Miller, Marissa Mule, Joseph Santarpia, Dasha Shkurpela, Gildo Spado, Tommy Tommy II, E. Angelina Woehr, Ruonan Yan, Jiawei Zhao

The exhibition will be held just across the East River from Manhattan in Long Island City, Queens, at the LIC Arts Open Gallery at The Factory LIC. The management team at The Factory has generously donated this space to LIC Arts Open for hosting shows throughout the year, as well as providing additional gallery space for the annual LIC Arts Open festival.
